Xuan Hung Mai completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineer (ECE) from Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, Vietnam in 2014. His senior thesis was on a maximum power point tracking algorithm for partial shading conditions in photovoltaic (PV) panels. In February 2015, he join Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) to pursue a Masters of Science degree in ECE. His current research interests are photovoltaic system performance and fault detection, specifically, hot spot detection method in commercialized PV panels. He often goes fishing, plays e-sports, and watches movies in his leisure time.
