Katherine A. Kim 김예린

  Dr. Katherine A. Kim received the B.S. degree in Electrical and computer engineering (ECE) from the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in 2007. She received the M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in ECE from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Areas of research include power electronics, modeling & control, differential power processing systems, photovoltaic hot spot detection methods, and protection for photovoltaic systems.
Dr. Kim received the National Science Foundation’s East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes Fellowship (EAPSI) in 2010 and Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) in 2011. She served as the Chair of the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES)/Power Electronics Society (PELS) Joint Student Chapter at the University of Illinois in 2010-2011 and as the Co-Director of the IEEE Power and Energy Conference at Illinois (PECI) in 2012. She served as the Student Membership Chair for IEEE PELS in 2013-2014.  She is currently an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, the IEEE PELS Women in Engineering (WIE) chair for 2018, and an IEEE PELS Member-At-Large for 2016-2018.

Hyeun-Tae Cho received the B.S degree in ECE from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in 2017. His main research interests are power factor correction (PFC) converter design and analysis. His extra activities are listening to music and E-sports.

HoeJeong Jeong 정회정

HoeJeong Jeong received the B.S degree in ECE from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in 2017. She majored in Electrical Engineering and System Design. Now, she is a second year Masters student in electrical engineering at UNIST. Her research interests are energy harvesting for wearable devices, GaN transistor, and DPP systems. Her extracurricular activities are listening to music and taking photos.

Kyoungjun Kwon 권경준

Kyoungjun Kwon received the Bachelor of Science degree from Pusan National University in 2016. He majored in electrical engineering. He received the Masters of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in February 2018. He is currently an Engineer at LG in Korea. His research interests are DC-DC converters and inverters for photovoltaic Applications.

Xuan Hung Mai

Xuan Hung Mai completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineer (ECE) from Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, Vietnam in 2014. His senior thesis was on a maximum power point tracking algorithm for partial shading conditions in photovoltaic (PV) panels. He received the Masters of Science degree in ECE from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in February 2017. He is currently a Hardware Developer at SolarBK, Vietnam. His research interests are photovoltaic system performance and fault detection, specifically, hot spot detection method in commercialized PV panels.

Hyunji Lee 이현지

Hyunji Lee received the Bachelor of Science degree from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in 2015, where she majored in electrical engineering and general management. She completed the Masters of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from UNIST in February 2017. Her research interests are dc-dc converters and control for photovoltaic cells.
